Here is a tutorial that shows you how to rip DVDs, convert videos and DRM protected files, download and record videos from online video sharing webs, burn favourite videos to DVD discs and transfer files to iPad, iPod, iPhone, etc.

Video Converter Ultimate easily converts videos and rips DVD movies to any format of your choice, or even converts them directly for portable devices for entertainment on the go.

 Load video & DVD files

You can click the buttons to load video or DVD files, or just drag the files to the file list for conversion.

Add Video

Click the Add video button to load all supported video and audio files. Click the arrow button and select Load files from device to load the video files from the devices connected to the computer.

Load DVD

Click the button Load DVD to load DVD file. After selecting a DVD to import, you will see a DVD Loader dialog box. You can choose to load the whole movie or part of the movie by selecting certain scenes.

 Edit video (Optional)

If you do not want to edit the video, please skip this step.

Select a video or DVD title from the file list, and click the Edit video button. You can crop the video, change video effect, add a watermark or a plug in subtitle into the video file in the Video Edit window.

 Custom output settings

Click the Advanced button to choose an output format and define the detail setting for the profile. Click Tools > Customize Profile to customize the profiles listed.

Click Start to start conversion. Click Find Target to open the folder where the output files are saved.

Click the button Download online video to open the dialog box Add URL. Enter the URL of the online video and click Add to add the URL to the download list, click OK to start downloading all videos and add the videos to the file list.

Click the button Record online video to open the dialog box Screen Capture. Choose Select recording area to record your target video or Auto record to detect your video automatically. The video will be added to the file list directly after the recording done.

Connect your device to the computer, then click Copy to device to transfer files to your device. You can choose to add files or add folder. The transferring work is done with your clicking on OK.

Click Burn to DVD to burn your videos to DVD. First, you can choose a favorite DVD menu, or set special background music and picture by yourself.

Then click Next to continue your DVD burning. You can burn videos to DVD disc, DVD folder or ISO file. Click Start to get your DVD.
